Silver Star ski resort near Vernon will open a week earlier than planned.聽
With a snow base of 70 cm in the alpine and 50 cm in the village, conditions are said to be good enough for the resort to open Saturday.
鈥淚t鈥檚 a spectacular start to the season and we can鈥檛 wait for another amazing winter,鈥 resort spokesperson Ian Jenkins said in a release. The Express Gondola, along with the Comet and Silver Queen chairlifts will open today at 8:30 a.m. with at least 10 groomed runs available to boarders and skiers.聽
Lift tickets will be discounted 50 per cent until further notice.聽
Big White east of 黑料社入口 opens Friday.聽
